PCT Days 24-27: White Pass -> Trout Lake

My day at White Pass started out great. The nobo and sobo crowds are beginning to run into each other so there were plenty of hikers around to hangout with. I even ran into a guy I met on the Colorado Trail last year! However, I began to feel nauseous towards the end of the day. I couldn't sleep and by 3 am I was up vomiting all the good town food I'd eaten. I was feeling okay by 9 am though and had kept my breakfast down so I decided to hike out and take it slow. I did 12 miles and while I was tired, I didn't feel sick so I thought Id be good after a proper night's sleep. Unfortunately I ate dinner, slept for 2 hours, and then felt sick again and all the food I'd eaten that day came back up. I was able to sleep through the rest of that night though and the next morning I felt a bit better. I decided to keep hiking since there was a side trail to a road in 8 miles I could bail out to if it got worse. I felt extremely exhausted that whole day but I kept all my food down and managed to hike up and over the Goat Rocks at a blistering pace of ~1 mph. I do wish I felt better going over one of the most scenic stretches on the entire trail, but on the bright side I got to spend way more time up there than the average hiker. The following day I finally felt great and resumed my usual hiking pace.
First look at the Goat Rocks. I'll traverse a section of that ridge the next day
Apparently this is my walking on loose scree face
Wildflowers in the basin leading up to the ridge
Up on the ridge, looking up at Old Snowy Mountain
Slowly climbing up old snowy with some section hikers I met. I only took a video at the top where I described the view but I'm having trouble uploading that so this is as close as you get.
Fun snow traverse coming down from Old Snowy
Cheez itz for dinner cause although I was feeling better, I still couldn't stomach couscous and a tuna packet
Hazy next morning, a few small wildfires started from some recent lightning
Getting closer to Mt Adams
Camped at a lava spring, coldest water on trail yet
This little pika came out of the rocks to say hi
Scrambled up the lava rocks at camp for an incredible view of Adams
Next morning, hazy again
Walked through a few large lava rock fields at the base of Adams
On the south side of Adams, much less snow than the north

I got a ride into the town of Trout Lake this afternoon from a nice guy who had just dropped his wife and son off to hike a section of the trail. I'll be back on trail early tomorrow and should be in Cascade Locks on the 5th or 6th.
