Idyllwild -> Julian

Hiking the ridge out of Idyllwild towards Apache peak Next morning 2500 miles! Some cool rock formations getting close to Warner Springs Hiked through a lot of flat cow fields just before stopping in Warner Springs. There was a great community center there with an outdoor shower and phone chargers set up for the hikers. Next morning the famous Eagle rock! Only 100 miles left Getting close to Julian at the end of this 32 mile day Couldn't really get this sunset to pop on camera but it was one of my favorites Night hiked for a few hours and luckily got a hitch in the dark down to Julian! The veterans club lets hikers sleep in cots outside the b...

He'd turned around a bit ahead at a waterfall he'd deemed to dangerous to downclimb solo but was willing to take another look at it with me there. When we got there I thought it looked doable so I tested it without my pack on and it was fairly easy so I climbed back up and grabbed my pack for the real attempt. ...
